Hello Mamas! My name is Vanessa Ramirez and I am proud Cuban-Lebanese American born and raised in Miami, Florida. I love to spend time with my family, visit new places, and grow daily in my faith. On any given day you can find me ordering Cuban coffee and a pastelito at Vicky Bakery.

    Homeschool

Three years ago I made a family life decision to stay home and leave the classroom after 16 years of teaching to take care of my first born 1 year old daughter. It was one of the BEST decisions I’ve made in my life after marrying my soulmate. Since the summer of 2021 I have been homeschooling my children and sharing my vocation of teaching with them. The memories we have created together during our homeschool journey have been priceless. It has been a true blessing from our Lord Jesus Christ to educate the mind and spirit of the children He has entrusted me with.

    Mom

Ever since I can remember I also dreamt of having a family. After praying for 30 years, I found the love of my life on a pilgrimage to see Pope Francis. We are blessed with two beautiful children, a 4 year old girl and a 2 year old boy. I thank Jesus every single day for my family and faith.  From an early age, I have had a passion for teaching.  I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Education and a Master’s in Reading Education K-12. Throughout my teaching career, I have learned that a happy child learns best when they feel secure and loved. My goal is for my own children to fall in love with learning and Jesus. The best gift I can give them is to love and serve the Lord with all their heart, mind and soul.  My hobbies include traveling, drinking Cuban coffee at least twice a day, and dancing salsa. I recently started a small business called Just Teach Me teaching Mommy and Me classes to toddlers of ages 2-5 in my beautiful Ave Maria community.

    Collective

I am a firm believer that Jesus created us to work and support each other in community. When I heard about Homeschool Mom Collective and its mission I was completely drawn to be part of this amazing journey. It’s a blessing to be part of a community of dedicated moms who love to educate their children while trying to help them become disciples of the Lord. I’m excited for all the new learning opportunities and support system this group will offer me and other parents as we homeschool our children.
